Ever since I heard Lil’ Wayne (the greatest rapper alive’s) hit single A Milli, I knew I had to find a way to sneak it into my sets. Unfortunately, I’ve never been too enamored with any of the remixes and have always prefered the original. Luckily, Crookers taught us all a way to sneak it in!
Here’s the recipe:
Play original A Milli (in 320) from the beginning.
Hit your serato cue (set to the first beat).
Throw a four beat loop up around ~8-10 seconds in (a milli a milli a milli)
Bring in the Crookers remix of Radioclit - Secousse
Garnish with airhorns.

Pretty sure I’m going to see some people I know, people who I wish I knew and lots of people that I never want to meet this sunday in Vancouver for Italy’s fidget superstars Crookers.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last couple of years (if that’s the case, I’m jealous. You missed out on that whole “day n night” bullshit) here’s a few tracks to get you bumping. Heads up - the Spears remix absolutely destroys the dancefloor.
Crookers - Big Money Coming [mediafire]
Britney Spears - If U Seek Amy (Crookers Remix) [mediafire]
Diplo - Wassup Wassup (feat Rye Rye, Crookers happy remix) [mediafire]
Bonus - I usually hate mashups, but this is a decent way to mix some hip hop and electro:

My favorite bitch from Miama living in Paris would have to be Uffie. Along with her dj/producer boyfriend, Feadz she makes incredibly fun yet sincere pop music. We all remember her from her cameo in The Party, off Justice’s Cross. Here’s an LA Riots remake that keeps Uffie’s verse intact while hyping up the rest of the sound.
Justice - The Party (feat Uffie) (LA Riots Remix) [mediafire]
Next up we’ve got F1rst Love, an electro ballad if I ever did hear one.

Bonus: Blake Miller (otherwise known as Steve Aoki’s better half) has been putting out some great yet underappreciated productions for too long.
Justice - D.A.N.C.E (Blake Miller Is Ruthless Vs Sickboy edit) [mediafire]
Digitalism - Pogo (Blake Miller Is Ruthless edit) [mediafire]

This is my last post before I bus up to school, lock myself in the library and finish this essay. In honor of my ongoing procrastination, here’s a few tracks by Dem Slackers, my favorite dutch producers.
Dem Slackers - God Is A Slacker (Lee Mortimer Remix) [mediafire]
Boemklatsch - Bonafied (Dem Slackers Floor Dance Remix) [mediafire]
Kid Sister - Family Reunion (Dem Slackers Shitloads Blow Zero Mix) [mediafire]
and just so you know, Dem Slackers just released THE JOKER EP on beatport. Check it out.

So I’m hitting the mainland friday to see Italy’s hypest export since Marinetti, the Bloody Beetroots. These guys are huge; everybody from your older brother to your camp counsellor rocks out to them. Here’s a few of their tracks that I continue to drop at my residency.
Cazals - Somebody, Somewhere (The Bloody Beetroots Remix) [mediafire]
The Bloody Beetroots - We Are From Venice (La Serenissima) [mediafire]
The Bloody Beetroots - Detroit (Ghetto Edit) [mediafire]

Looking for something to placate the v-neck wearing dance-a-holics while keeping the Benassi loving masses interested? Look no further than electro-house superstar Klaas.
These are oldies but goodies.
Michael Mind - Ride like the Wind (Klaas Remix) [mediafire]
Jean Elan - Where’s Your Head At (Klaas Remix) [mediafire]

Not sure if it’s a regional thing, but Skream’s remix of In For The Kill has absolutely blown up. Been getting tons of requests for it. Since dropping a track as minimal and sparse as the Skream mix at peak time is a recipe for clearing the floor, we’ve got the Foamo re-edit to pick up the slack.
